MONI Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Overview

MONI helps volleyball players, captains, and tournament hosts discover events, build teams, register, pay, and manage game-day details. This Privacy Policy explains what information MONI collects, how we use it, how it may be shared, how long it may be kept, and how to contact us about privacy choices.

Information we collect

We may collect account and authentication information, including your name, email address, Apple or Google sign-in identifiers, and MONI user ID. We may collect player profile details, including profile photo, pronouns or gender display, height, preferred volleyball position, skill level, optional Instagram handle, and privacy settings.

We may collect app activity needed to operate MONI, including tournaments viewed or saved, teams created or joined, roster details, captain status, invitations sent or received, free-agent list participation, registration status, payment status, host activity, notifications, reports, and account deletion requests.

Hosts may upload or publish tournament information, flyers, schedules, brackets, rules, venue details, announcements, and related event documents. Users may submit support messages, reports, feedback, and other communications to MONI.

We may collect device and technical information needed for security, troubleshooting, authentication, fraud prevention, and push notifications, including app version, device token for Apple Push Notification service, log data, and basic request information. Tournament venue addresses and coordinates are event information; MONI does not currently collect your precise device location.

Payments

MONI uses third-party payment providers, including Stripe and Paysafe/Interac, to process registration payments for real-world volleyball tournaments, leagues, and events. MONI does not store full card numbers, bank credentials, or full payment account details. Payment providers may collect and process payment information, payer email, transaction identifiers, payment status, refund status, fraud-prevention information, and related technical information according to their own privacy and security obligations.

MONI may store payment records such as amount, currency, provider, provider reference, payment status, registration ID, payer profile ID, timestamps, and refund status so that we can confirm registration, support hosts, process refunds, prevent duplicate payments, and maintain legally necessary financial records.

How information is used

Information is used to create and secure accounts, authenticate users, complete onboarding, show player profiles, create teams, manage rosters, send and respond to invitations, support free-agent discovery, publish tournaments, process registrations, confirm payments, process refunds, support tournament hosts, provide game-day information, send push notifications, respond to support requests, investigate reports, prevent misuse, and maintain MONI.

MONI does not sell personal information. MONI does not currently use third-party advertising or track users across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Sharing

MONI may show profile, team, roster, invitation, free-agent, registration, and payment-status details to the players, captains, tournament hosts, and admins who need that information to operate a tournament or league. For example, captains may see free-agent profile information, teammates may see roster details, and hosts may see team, captain, registration, payment-status, and roster information for their events.

MONI may share information with service providers that help us run the service, including hosting, database, storage, authentication, payments, push notifications, email, support, security, and infrastructure providers. These providers are expected to protect personal information and use it only to provide services to MONI.

MONI may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the public, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce our terms, to respond to legal requests, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Permissions and notifications

MONI may ask for photo or camera access when you choose to upload a profile photo or tournament-related image. MONI may ask for notification permission to send tournament announcements, invitation updates, roster updates, payment-status updates, game-day information, maintenance notices, or app updates. You can manage device permissions in iOS Settings.

Your choices and account deletion

You can edit your player profile in the app, including your profile details and privacy settings for fields such as Instagram handle and height. You can request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting MONI.

Account deletion is available in the MONI app from Profile > Account > Delete Account. Deletion removes your MONI sign-in, anonymizes your player profile, expires pending invitations, removes personal profile details where possible, and signs you out. Some records may be retained when needed for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, chargeback, refund, tournament-history, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Retention

MONI keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, operate tournaments, complete payments and refunds, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support users. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is kept.

Children and youth participants

MONI is not directed to children under 13 and is not listed in the Kids category. If a player is under the age of majority in their location, they should use MONI only with permission from a parent or legal guardian and only if allowed by the rules of the applicable tournament, league, host, venue, and law.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as MONI changes or as legal, App Store, payment, or operational requirements change. The updated date above shows when this page was last revised.
